Abilities Awareness In Schools
Supporting Students With Disabilities
Students with disabilities deserve the best possible support from their teachers and friends - so the Andrews Labor Government has partnered with Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott to deliver a series of Abilities Awareness in Schools resources.

The Governments $1.6 billion Disability Inclusion reform has been helping put the needs of students first and has already doubled the number of students receiving extra support.

PureEarth Expansion
Creating Local Jobs
PureEarth is a dairy and plant based product processing facility based here in Melb's West.

They have just received $485,000 as part of the Food to Market program to install new processing equipment to increase production capabilities. This new upgrade is set to create 15 brand new full time manufacturing positions while also helping support local supply chain partners.

Supporting local businesses here in Truganina is a win for everyone. Creating local jobs while supporting local suppliers and transport workers in the area will be fantastic for our community.

Digital Adaptation Program
$1,200 Rebate For Small Businesses
Having access to the best digital tools and software applications can make such a difference to small businesses, so the Andrews Labor Government has announced a further $5 million for the Small Business Digital Adaptation Program!

Businesses can apply for a $1,200 rebate to access a range of digital tools to assist with everything from online marketing to cash flow services.

Applications close July 18 2022 - so make sure to apply!

Find My School Update
School Zone Clarity For Parents
The Find My School site has recently been updated to make sure families can get the latest information about local schools and the process of enrolling their kids for next year. 

The website now includes the 13 new schools and campuses set to open in 2023, along with some small changes to existing school zones.

Parents can search for different school categories such as primary, secondary and specialist schools.

Melbourne Arts Precinct
Work Begins On New Upgrades
Works are beginning on the exciting Melbourne Arts Precinct transformation!

You can expect to see refurbishments to multiple well loved Melbourne landmarks including:
🔹 The State Theatre
🔹 National Gallery Victoria
🔹 Arts Centre Melbourne
🔹 Museums Victoria
🔹 State Library Victoria

On top of this we will be getting new cafes and restaurants as well as 18,000 square meters of new public parkland  🌳🌳

Housing For Family Violence Survivors
Australian First Initiative
Every person deserves to have a safe place to call home, so the Andrew's Labor Government has provided more than $13 million to help open Viv's Place - an apartment building for at risk women and children. 🚪

The building has 60 apartments with communal kitchen and living spaces, children's play spaces, offices and onsite services for families and children.

Viv’s Place will make a significant difference in the lives of women fleeing family violence by providing safe and secure accommodation.

Emergency Sporting Equipment Grants
Helping Clubs That Need It Most
When sporting equipment is damaged or stolen it can be really tough on clubs - so the Andrew's Labor Government is helping sporting clubs get back on their feet with grants of up to $2000 through the Emergency Equipment Grants Program 🏏⚽

It is impossible to control every situation, so making sure clubs can replace essential equipment in unforeseen circumstances is vital to making sure they can get back to doing what they do best.

Pride In Our Future
🌈It is so exciting to see that the Victorian Government has announced the winners of its LGBTQ+ Organisational Development Grants for 2022!🌈

$700,000 is being invested into new and established LGBTQ+ organisations and support groups to help expand their capacity and continue their amazing work in the community.

Emerging Stronger Grants
Supporting Victorian Volunteers
Coming out of a difficult period, it is more important than ever to support Victoria's strong volunteer base. 

Which is why $1 million in Emerging Stronger Grants have been announced so volunteer groups can access up to $80,000 for partnerships and innovation projects to re-engage volunteers, broaden the volunteer base and strengthen volunteering in local communities.

Increased Testing To Save Lives
As a part of a $20 million boost to conduct an additional 36,000 breast cancer screenings by 2026, multiple temporary facilities will be becoming permanent, including the one at Hoppers Lane!

Applications Open Now!
Applications are now open for the Andrew's Labor Government's Sporting Club Grants Program!

The program provides up to:
 $1,000 for new uniforms and equipment
🏀 $5,000 for training coaches, officials and volunteers
⚾ $5,000 to improve club operations
