Students in Truganina will soon have access to the first-rate classrooms and facilities they deserve, with work due to get under way upgrading Dohertys Creek P-9 College.
Member for Tarneit Sarah Connolly today announced Ireland Brown Constructions had been appointed to build Dohertys Creek P-9 Colleges $11.2 million upgrade, which will help it deliver a 21st century education.
The upgrade will see Stage 2 of the schools masterplan completed, ensuring that students in years 7-9 will be able to attend the school from 2022.
In the past five years, the Labor Government has invested more than $9 billion in more than 1,600 school upgrades creating more than 10,000 construction jobs and is now ahead of schedule its commitment to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
