The Hoppers Crossing Soccer Club will now be able to play and practice at night, with the installation of 100 lux LED sports lighting on Pitch 1 at Grange Reserve being recently completed.
The Andrews Government provided $300,000 for the completion of the lighting upgrades as part of a 2018 election commitment the remaining $50,000 being provided by Wyndham City Council
This project will benefit the local Hoppers Crossing community including Hoppers Crossing Soccer Club, allowing for more opportunities to train and play at night.
The lighting upgrade commenced construction in July 2020 and all infrastructure works have now been completed. Council is hopeful the electrical engineer can attend the site and sign off on the works in the last week of October, completing the project on schedule.
